Green Your Holidays

Would you like some ideas on how to make your holidays green? In September Stardust was lucky to receive a group of volunteers from the Intel Encore Fellow program to work with our organization for a year creating up-cycled projects with reclaimed materials. For the past month they’ve been hard at work creating recycled holiday items that are both unique and stylish.

Come see for yourself what they have made and add some “green” to your holidays!

Wooden Christmas Tree

These trees were made out of up-cycled wooden pallets, which adds a rustic looking wood grain and sturdiness to the tree. Decorate it with paint or ribbons for a fun craft project, or leave it as it is for a charming natural look. Many sizes are available so you can choose what works best for your holiday display. Metal Tree Plaque

This creative holiday decoration reuses metal brackets to create the shape of a Christmas tree on a painted cabinet door. Metal ornaments were added to give that added flair of holiday cheer! This decoration can be hung up as wall art or propped up as a festive backdrop to your other holiday pieces. Price: $20

Up-Cycled Ornaments

These up-cycled ornaments are the perfect addition to any holiday tree! With 6 unique colors to choose from, you are sure to find the perfect match for your holiday color scheme! The ornaments themselves are made from metal paint samples, meaning that they are very sturdy yet light enough to hang on even the tallest of branches. Price: 2 for $1

Shutter Tree
